Due to current health issues, and the need to take care of me, I am only teaching intermittently as sub spots come available and I feel up to teaching at Viva Prana Yoga in Chicago at the the Abbott/AbbVie Fitness Center.
Introduction to vinyasa yoga where we will break down poses (asanas) and connect breath to movement. Set to music, we will move through a sequence to ignite our cores, build strength, increase flexibility, and find focus and balance in an accessible style; learning the fundamental principles and alignment that create a successful and effective foundation on which you can build or further develop and grow your personal practice. This class is suitable for all levels.
Private, Semi-Private & Corporate Yoga
Private yoga is a great way for beginners to learn the fundamentals in a comfortable environment prior to attending public classes. Individual attention also allows the practitioner the opportunity to explore aspects of the yoga practice typically not accessible in a public class, due to class size (alignment, deepening of poses, increased focus on the use of meditation and breath work, etc.). Private classes can be tailored to meet the needs of the practitioner, be it physical, breath work, meditation, attention to injury or anything one wishes to work on (physically, spiritually or mentally).
Yoga has many benefits, including increased mindfulness and improved health and well-being. In the workplace, such benefits can lead to reduced stress, anxiety and depression in employees, increased productivity, and enhanced focus, memory and concentration, and higher job satisfaction. Corporate classes can be tailored to your needs and offered at your location of choice. I am happy to partner with companies large and small in the area.
