Music is huge in my life. I grew up with it - my mother was always singing and playing piano when I was young, my dad would play us to sleep with his guitar, my sister is an artist (always has been), both of my grandfathers played guitar, I started playing piano at the age of 5 and guitar at 18... so music is basically like family to me. A life without it would be so sad! Music can be therapeutic or cathartic, relaxing or energizing, soothing or uplifting... This said, I really enjoy the aspect of making playlists for my classes, as music creates an additional layer to the yoga practice. Another sensory aspect of the experience...
Here, I will share these playlists with you. You will notice that I get stuck on favorites and use a lot of the same songs from playlist to playlist, but I try to make each playlist unique and different in feeling, sound, and energy. I revisit them often, especially when not feeling inspired, and get excited when I am in the mood to create something new for a class. I hope you enjoy.
If you take my classes and have any requests, please let me know! I would love to incorporate any of your music favorites into the playlists for you. Namaste.
